Megerian Acquires Armenia Rug Factories
After the demise of the Soviet Union, the Megerian Family made an investment in Armenia by acquiring the many HyeGorg factories all across the new Republic. By renovating these factories, Megerian opened up Jobs by the thousands, and revitalized the nations rug weaving operations and economy.
Magnificent Carpets Award - AmericasMart
The Megerian family was awarded the "Magnificent Carpets Award" on the occasion of AmericasMart in Atlanta, Georgia. America's Mart is Americas largest Home Furnishing Trade Show
Introducing the "Armenian Odyssey"
The Megerian Brothers and AmericasMart co-sponsored event at the International Area Rug Market in Atlanta, Georgia. As native Armenians, the Megerians set up dozens of operations and rug plants around the country with the aim of revitalizing the once great art of Armenian rug weaving, while revitalizing the nations economy by providing thousands of jobs.
Armenia's Gold Medal of Honor
On December 13, 2007, the President of the Parliament (National Assembly) of the Republic of Armenia, the honorable Tigran Torosian presented Raffi Megerian, the President of Megerian Rugs, with a Gold Medal of Honor
